Trends of the Salone del Mobile Milano 2023 - Madeval

Written by Madeval | 31 May 2023

The Salone del Mobile Milano is a worldwide furniture fair that we visit every year to catch up and get to know the latest trend on furniture, lighting and other home furnishings designs. All the way from Italy, we want to share with you the trends that best caught our attention and how in Madeval we have designed spaces that approach these tendencies very closely.

In contrast to minimalism from previous years, the 2023´s event amazed us with the color trends. Designs now include more bold and nature-like colors, for example, green, terracotta and beige. We also saw some colors like blue and yellow.

Linear elements are constant, like fluted panels.

In this sense, we align ourselves with our #MadevalLine collection where fluted cabinet doors are used all along the kitchen´s low modules.

We saw many spaces that use light structures, for example modular shelves made from vertical tubular elements.

Following this aesthetic sense we have our #MadevalMozione collection

Another trend we saw was thin metal shelves in dark tones.

In our Madeval Fusion Collection we use the Latitude 0 Collection of thin, floating metal shelves for a more understated and modern look.

In terms of materials, a lot of dark wood and walnut are used in the designs.

The Madeval Golf House kitchen follows this new trend in the selection of materials.

One aspect that caught our attention is the strong use of organic shapes. Some other trends that we saw is the use of glass in all its shapes and textures (wave type, lines, mesh, gauze, opaque, shiny). Adding breakfast bars to kitchen islands never goes out of style, and neither do sliding doors. Since Salone del Mobile showed the mix of contrasting styles like modern and classic and the widespread use of stones not only in countertops, but also in doors, furniture, tables, we will see more of this.

Which of these trends do you like the most? Do you want to incorporate them into your kitchen project?
